Additional info/contents	"Perfect Day" is a 1972 pop rock song by Lou Reed. The track was originally included on the 1972 album Transformer. It was released in 1973 as the B-side of the single "Walk on the Wild Side". It was produced by David Bowie and Mick Ronson. The track became popular again in the 1990s after it was featured in the 1996 film Trainspotting - New Heroes and was re-recorded and released by the BBC for charity in 1997. The song depicts an idealised description of a perfect day. Some commentators see the lyrics as an allusion to Reed's intimate relationship with his future first wife Bettye Kronstadt and his problems with his own sexuality, drugs and ego because of its simplistic and romantic mood. Other commentators see the lyric as a sign of Reed's ironised attitude towards his own heroin addiction or as a "heroin song".
