Additional info/contents	Boris Koshevnikov's Symphony No. 3, "The Slavic," is a four-movement work for wind orchestra that blends Slavic musical tradition with classical symphonic style. With a playing time of approximately 14.5 minutes, the work embodies the Slavic people's yearning for peace and combines virtuosic passages with lyrical, folk-like melodies. Walter Ratzek has arranged the symphony for top-level wind orchestra. His version emphasizes the wind orchestra's tonal colors and underscores the contrasts between stormy and lyrical sections. This arrangement is classified as a compulsory piece in the E-level program of the Austrian Wind Orchestra Association and has a difficulty level of 5. (he)
