Additional info/contents	Csardas from Sucsa for wind orchestra. A middle school band with a good line-up in all registers and a spirited conductor can certainly tackle this composition. Success is guaranteed, both at the concert and at the morning pub. A Csardas for every occasion from a good intermediate level upwards, which really 'heats up' the mood in the audience, excellently orchestrated so that every musician is kept busy.

Programme notes: It is probably unnecessary to introduce the Csardas as the most spirited folk dance in Central Europe. Karol Pádivy has created such a firework of temperament and joie de vivre. The instrumentation is outstanding, giving the whole orchestra the opportunity to play. From the Moderato onwards, the clarinets first intoned a melancholy melody, which was soon taken up and continued by the tenor horn section; the usual middle section, full of melancholy romanticism, which was atmospherically spun out, was not to be missed. From the Vivace onwards, unbridled joie de vivre reigns again in a brilliant finale.
