Additional info/contents	These two pieces are without doubt among the "greatest hits" among Bach's works. The present edition by Alfred Loritz is distinguished by the following features: - Retention of the clear distribution of voices and roles of the originals. - Avoidance of romanticising ingredients and superficial instrumentation effects. - To a certain extent, variability in the use of certain instruments (e.g. the saxophones). Bach's elaborate chorale arrangements (actually chorale preludes!) were accompanied by full-sounding tutti song settings; this significantly expands the combination possibilities in performance.
