Additional info/contents	In Roman mythology, Cupid refers to the god of love, Cupid. After a powerful and energetic introduction, the overture transitions into a somber and serious melody, which is then played with grace and elegance by the woodwinds. The second part of the overture (the main theme) begins festively and vividly, depicting the urgency and momentum of passion. In the slow middle section, various solo instruments build to a fortissimo, conveying warmth and deeply moving emotions. The third section, which gradually builds in intensity, leads to a heroic and brilliant main theme, concluding in the final bars with the opening theme and a final virtuosic section.
