Additional info/contents Emperor Frederick III had his motto "AEIOV" inscribed on numerous buildings. This sequence of letters allows for several, consistently similar interpretations: "Austriae est imperare orbi universo" (Latin = It is Austria's destiny to rule the world), "Austria erit in orbe ultima" (Latin = Austria will be eternal) or "All the earth is subject to Austria". The military bandmaster Johann Nowotny took the liberty of interpreting the 5th letter in its old spelling as "V" and gave his 92s regimental march the subtitle: "Aller Ehren ist Österreich voll".

Programme notes: additional text

Motifs from the imperial anthem "Gott erhalte" (God keep) were adapted by numerous composers and military bandmasters during the Monarchy. However, no work became as popular as Johann Nowotny's 92 Regimental Defilier March "Aller Ehren ist Österreich voll" (AEIOU).
Johann Nowotny (Czech: Jan Novotnı) became Kapellmeister of the Imperial and Royal Infantry Regiment No. 92 on 1 August 1886. Infantry Regiment No. 92 in Theresienstadt in Bohemia. In his first year of service he dedicated the 92 Regimental Defilier March to the regimental commander, Field Marshal Lieutenant Gustav Freiherr von König.
