Programme notes: additional text

It may not look like it, but the song about "Šafářs Adulka" is one of the most famous Czech folk songs. She sang and sings in all kinds of countries around the world - including America, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria and the Baltic States. The one who sent her on such a long journey was the Cologne bandleader František Kmoch, a pioneer of brass music from the Czech Republic.
