Programme notes: 4030784 After its premiere in Dublin in 1742, "Messiah" by George Friedrich Händel has often been rearranged in the course of its history. Solo voices and choirs were changed or the instruments in parts of it were adapted because of practical considerations with regard to performance. This arrangement in particular is suitable as a highlight for choir and brass players.
