Programme notes: Adolf Scherzer was Kapellmeister at the 7th Bavarian Infantry Regiment in Ingolstadt from 1849 to 1864. His Bayerischer Defilier Marsch was composed in the second half of the 19th century, but it is still one of the most popular German marches.
