Programme notes: additional text

The sentences of fantasy, strung together in "potpourri form", change in rhythm and have an effect on the listener's ear through their interesting harmonization.
After a short, grandiose introduction, the first movement shines in "slowly rhythm" through the solos of two trumpets and a trombone.
The second movement, at first introduced by snappy brass, is subsequently determined more by the woodwinds.
The "Benguine", with its calm, vocal melody, is accompanied by a strict, yet subtle rumba rhythm. The figurations of the woods and trumpets (with mute) should be heard "in the background". If there is plenty of wood, the trumpets in the first part of this movement could at best be left out.
After an "Allegro", a grandioso with a pronounced "slow style", which uses the theme of the first movement, forms the conclusion of the Fantasy.
