Programme notes: additional text

A modern solo piece that is interesting for soloist and orchestra. Again and again there are some original motifs and interjections for individual registers of the orchestra. It begins rapidly so that the soloist can show all his bravura right at the beginning. Rhythmically distinctive sound figures of the orchestra enrich the musical events. After a short, memorable, quiet middle section, the dynamic continues. In a cadenza, the soloist can once again present his "quick-wittedness", and then say goodbye with a brilliant finale.
The wind orchestra does not have a purely accompanying function, so that a good intermediate band is required to master the rhythmic subtleties in particular.Despite its modern character, this solo piece can certainly be used (in some cases) as an effective number in a beer tent, but belongs above all to a concert, where it is sure to go down well with the audience. The soloist must have special skills, but can demonstrate them in the solo part.
