Programme notes: The Scandinavian Greta Garbo was regarded as the probably most beautiful woman of her time, she was a much sought-after and highly famous actress and film actress. What she has in common with Robert Stolz is that she experienced the time of the silent movie as well as the sound movie and was a star of both kinds of movies. Robert Stolz has also composed music for many films. The song dedicated to Grete Garbo carries the opus number 552 and begins with the words "Hast Du bei Frauen wenig Glück" (You're not lucky with women). They are song and foxtrot from the movie A Tango for You with the text by Walter Reisch, composed in Berlin in March 1930 and then published soon afterwards.
